The companies Galigrain S.A.U. and Internacional de Comercio y Servicios S.L., from GrupoNogar, are members of the consortium formed for the execution of the “SMARTSTORE” project. This consortium is led by the company Galigrain S.A.U. and also includes Protea Productos del Mar S.A., P&J Carrasco S.L. and the Technological Centre CETIM.
The main objective of the project is to obtain technological advances in port logistics activities and in the storage, movement or procurement of products of special relevance for Galicia, such as bulk agri-foodstuffs, products for animal nutrition or perishable food products.
To this end, the development of new technologies within these sectors, based on industry 4.0: automation, artificial vision, simulation or Big Data among others, is proposed, pursuing the achievement of a general improvement in their competitiveness, efficiency and the quality of the products and services offered.
The project, which will end in April 2023 and has a budget of 2.8 million euros, is part of the program “Factory of the future, intelligent and sustainable factory of Industry 4.0” which is subsidized by the Galician Innovation Agency and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the ERDF Operational Programme Galicia 2014-2020, OT1. “Promote technological development, innovation and quality research”. The project is also supported by the Second Vice-presidency and the Regional Ministry of Economy, Employment and Industry.
